I am a PhD Candidate in the School of Communication and Creative Arts, Deakin University. My research is looking at comics superheroes in the context of the U.S. under the Trump administration, with a focus on race, ethnicity, and Othering. I am a junior lecturer in the English Department, Universitas Gadjah Mada, where I earned my master’s degree in American Studies.
