DVM, PhD Candidate in Comparative and Experimental Medicine, University of Tennessee

I am a Tennessee native who received my bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at Mississippi State University. I then entered veterinary school at The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where I began the dual-degree DVM-PhD program through the Comparative and Experimental Medicine Department. After receiving my veterinary degree in 2019, I continued with my PhD research project and am set to graduate in the winter of 2022. I have always had a large interest in wildlife species medicine and research, and my passion for studying reproduction really heightened during veterinary school as I enrolled in advanced reproductive electives. My future goals are to use my veterinary knowledge and the skills gained from my PhD to conserve endangered species and provide care for these non-domestic species in the wild.
