Dr. Asma Ahmed is an Assistant Professor at Niagara University's Faculty of Education. Currently, she is the Program Coordinator of the Masters of Science in Educational Leadership (MSED).

Asma is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of SMS Magazine, the first magazine in Canada dedicated to supporting Muslim students. She is also the Co-Founder of ISAC (Islamic Schools Association of Canada).

Asma regularly conducts workshops for middle schools, high schools, and universities in the GTA, as well as for the New York Association of Teacher Educators (NYSATE/NYACTE) on understanding Muslim students and addressing Islamophobia in educational institutions.

Additionally, she facilitates courses with the Centre of Islamic Thought and Education (CITE) at the University of South Australia. Asma was a senior instructional designer involved in the development of a theocentric pedagogy for K–12 MAC Islamic schools across Canada
