Teacher of physiology, and pretty much anything else I get told to, to science. medical and other healthcare profession students. In my research career I've been a cell physiologist with an interest in cellular metabolism, calcium signalling and microscope-based imaging. I've done a lot of science communication stuff of various kinds, including but not limited to blogging and tweeting, and edited the Physiological Society's magazine 'Physiology News' for many years.
