Averill Gordon

Dr Averill Gordon is the Head of Department and Senior Lecturer, Public Relations at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand where she develops the curriculum, lectures and supervises postgraduate students. Her textbook, Public Relations is published by Oxford University Press. She specializes in global collaboration and is also the Vice President of the Global Communication Institute www.globcom.org an ongoing pedagogical collaboration project among 15 universities. Her PhD and research specializes in leadership among virtual teams within a global public relations context. Dr Gordon was previously a senior public relations practitioner who set up the international health care division of an international PR consultancy based in London.
