I am an assistant professor, interested in how children hear, especially in noisy settings. The aim of my current research project is to investigate how the ability to perceive speech in noisy backgrounds develops in children, how hearing impairments impacts this development, and how we could improve hearing aids to alleviate their difficulties. In previous work, I have looked at the effect of background noise on the development of reading abilities in children.
