Throughout her academic career and work in the non-profit sector, Azeezah developed a passion for disability rights and creating student-centred, inclusive education spaces and strategies. After completing an Honours BSc at the University of Toronto in Health Studies, Azeezah is pursuing a Master's in Health with a specialization in Health Policy and Equity at York University. Her current research focuses on practices and policies in special education and their relation to the school-to-prison pipeline in Ontario. Azeezah is also conducting research on access to education for students with autism in Canada. Her research is informed by disability justice frameworks.
