Lecturer in Modern Welsh History, Cardiff University

I am a Lecturer in Modern Welsh History at Cardiff University, specialising in the history of the south Wales coalfield in the twentieth century. I am the author of 'The South Wales Miners, 1964-1985' (Cardiff, 2013), in addition to numerous other published articles. Prior to taking up my current role, I was a Research Associate on the Wellcome-funded project 'Disability and Industrial Society: A Cultural History of British Coalfields, 1780-1948', responsible for carrying out the project's research on the south Wales coalfield. I am also the Treasurer for Llafur, the Welsh People's History Society, as well as being the General Editor for the South Wales Record Society.
