I completed my MSci Medical Biochemistry degree at Swansea University in 2019, with my final year project focussed on the changes that occur in the maternal immune system during pregnancy. This area of research really interested me and the experience inspired me to pursue a career in research.
From this, I am now beginning a PhD at Swansea University in the field of Immunology. My research involves investigating a particular immune cell type, called natural killer (NK) cells, during the course of pregnancy to try and establish how they adapt to pregnancy.
