PhD Candidate, Monash University

I hold a Masters of Social Work (Qual) and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I commenced my current university studies at Monash University in 2019, undertaking a PhD in relation to young women's distinct experiences of intimate partner violence.
Since 2007 I have been employed professionally as a practitioner in areas including child protection, youth, youth alcohol and other drugs (AoD) and family violence. My work has focused on areas ranging from individual support, therapeutic groups, youth advocacy groups, research, large scale community arts projects and workforce and sector capacity building. My direct practice for more than a decade has involved a strong focus on engagement and intervention with young women who experience complex issues including criminal justice system involvement, youth intimate partner and family violence and trauma.
