Bill Shrapnel is one of Australia’s most experienced dietitians. He has held positions of Dietitian-in-Charge at two New South Wales health services. In the early 90s he spent four years as the National Nutrition Manager with the Heart Foundation in Canberra, where he developed his interest in diet and the prevention of coronary heart disease. For the last 17 years Bill has run a nutrition consultancy, based in Sydney, and has worked with food companies, non-government organisations and government. He is the author of several peer-reviewed papers and has published a best-selling book on the dietary management of blood cholesterol.
