Brendan Sheehan is Director of Inter Mediate, a public policy practice specialising in tertiary education issues. He is a Senior Fellow of the LH Martin Institute at the University of Melbourne.

He has been a chief of staff to both Commonwealth and Victorian education ministers and has served an official in the both Commonwealth and Victorian departments of education.

From April 2007 until January 2010, Brendan was the Director of Higher Education in Skills Victoria and for some time the Victorian VET regulator. In that capacity he also served on the board of the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority.

Brendan has been a commentator on topical issues in high education matters for several media outlets and he publishes a weekly “webzine” on tertiary education matters - www.the-scan.com
