Brian J. Love has taught in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor since 2008. Before that, he was a Professor at Virginia Tech from 1993 to 2007.
He is the co-author of "Corked: Tales of Advantage in Competitive Sports" with Michael L. Burns (5th Avenue Press, ISBN ISBN-13: 978-1947989375). He also has a web site linked with the book http://www.corkedthebook.com He is also the author of textbook entitled Biomaterials, A systems approach to engineering concepts (2017, Elsevier).
He does research primarily relating to structure/property relationships in polymeric materials linked primarily in medicine. He has some peripheral interests in polymeric materials deployed in sport.
