Assistant Professor of Classics, Arizona State University

Britta Ager is an Assistant Professor of Classics at Arizona State University in the School of International Letters and Cultures (SILC). She has previously taught at a variety of colleges and universities throughout the US. Dr. Ager's research encompasses Roman history, ancient agriculture and environmental issues, the senses, and Roman religion, ritual, and magic. She is particularly interested in the intersection of sensory studies and ritual, and ritual and economic/agricultural activity in the ancient world.
