C. Michael Sampson

Associate Professor of Classics, University of Manitoba

C. Michael Sampson is a classical philologist and papyrologist whose primary research focus is ancient Greek poetry. He is the author of New Literary Papyri from the Michigan Collection (with Cassandra Borges, Ann Arbor: 2012) and is the editor of Engaging Classical Texts in the Contemporary World (with Louise Pratt, Ann Arbor: 2018) as well as a special volume of the journal Ramus devoted to the poetics of Senecan tragedy (with Christopher Trinacty, 2017). He is currently preparing a volume of papyri from the University of Michigan collection for publication with W. Graham Claytor and Arthur Verhoogt.
