Camila Picchio (MPH) is a multidisciplinary public health researcher and PhD candidate (Medicine and Translational Research- International Health) at ISGlobal currently focusing on health systems responses, specifically to viral hepatitis. Her research focuses on simplifying diagnosis of hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) using novel diagnostic tools and linking patients to care in Barcelona and sub-Saharan Africa. She is also working on integrated care, specifically in Tanzania and Uganda as project coordinator of INTE-AFRICA for the working group ISGlobal is leading. Other lines of research include vaccine hesitancy in the general population and in health care providers in Barcelona.

Camila has experience working in Buenos Aires (Fundación Huésped/Hospital Fernández), New York (Treatment Action Group), and was previously an intern at the WHO Barcelona Office for Health Systems Strengthening.
