Senior Lecturer, Evolutionary Biology, University of Sydney

I am currently investigating the evolutionary innovations of pregnancy (live birth/viviparity) and the placenta. My team investigates these traits using genomic techniques as well as physiological and morphological methods. As well as providing information of broad evolutionary significance, our work sheds light on the fundamental biology of unique Australian fauna, including seahorses, platypuses, marsupials, placental sharks, and live-bearing lizards.
