Researcher in Residence, Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions, University of Victoria

I am an ecologist with expertise in carbon cycling, wildfire, and ecosystem processes. I received my PhD in ecology in 2018 where my dissertation focused on arctic carbon cycling. Before joining the University of Victoria, I was a postdoc at Union of Concerned Scientists and Woodwell Climate Research Center. My research focused on wildfire management as an emissions reduction strategy in the context of international climate mitigation targets. My current work focuses on wildfires in BC and the opportunities to make our forests climate resilient and enhance their ability to remove carbon from the atmosphere.
