Caroline Colijn is a professor and Canada 150 Research Chair in Mathematics for Infection, Evolution and Public Health at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. She works on modelling infectious disease and on building methods to use genomic data from infections to understand how they are transmitted. Throughout the pandemic she has advised and collaborated with government and public health institutions about COVID-19.
