Carolyn is an Academic Researcher who specialises in diversity and inclusion on and off screen in Australia, with a track record of contributing to groundbreaking projects working across multiple Australian universities.

Her work on the Who Gets to Tell Australian Stories report alongside Deakin University, the first comprehensive picture of who tells, frames and produces stories in Australian television news and current affairs, was labelled a ‘landmark study’ by the Australian media. Additionally, Carolyn has worked for Monash University’s Film and Screen Studies Department and the SBS Commissioning Team looking into diversity and inclusion in Australia, both on and off screen.

Carolyn is also a film practitioner, working on a number of productions for The ABC and SBS, and a background as a journalist who has been widely published by the Australian media including SBS, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Eureka Street, VICE AU, Broadsheet, The Weekly Times, news.com.au and The Sun-Herald.
