Carrie Purcell

Dr Carrie Purcell is a Research Fellow in the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies at the Open University. With a background in medical sociology, Carrie’s research interests span sexual and reproductive health, abortion, contraception, menstruation, embodiment, stigma, experiences of health professionals, and access to healthcare. She has conducted a number of research studies relating to experiences of and attitudes towards abortion in the UK, and her most recent research explores abortion stigma in a UK context.
