Catherine Chamberlain

Professor Indigenous Health Equity, The University of Melbourne

Professor Catherine Chamberlain is a descendant of the Trawlwoolway People (Tasmania); Director of Onemda Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Wellbeing at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne; and inaugural Editor-In-Chef for First Nations Health and Wellbeing: the Lowitja Journal. Her research program aims to improve health equity through applied research to improve support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. In 2019, she was awarded the prestigious 2019 Lowitja Institute Research Leadership award.
