Catherine E. Russell

Fulbright-Lloyd's Visiting Scholar, University of New Orleans & Honorary Researcher, University of Leicester

After studying a geology Masters at the University of Leicester, Catherine Russell obtained a PhD specialising in river deposits from the University of Leeds.

Her first academic post was as a Teaching Fellow in Sedimentology at the University of Leicester and she is now a UK-US Fulbright-Lloyd's Visiting Scholar at the University of New Orleans for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Catherine's research aims to better understand the long-term impacts of human interventions on surface processes across Earth Systems in the Anthropocene, particularly in river systems.
