Catie Gressier is an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) Fellow in the School of Agriculture and Environment at the University of Western Australia. A cultural anthropologist with a regional focus on Australia and southern Africa, she has published on issues spanning food production and consumption, interspecies relations, tourism, and health and illness. Her current focus is on rare and heritage breed livestock farming and the conservation of agrobiodiversity in Australia. She is a Director of the Rare Breeds Trust of Australia, the Coordinator of the Ecology People Place (EcoPeoPle) research network, and an Editorial Board Member of Anthropological Forum.
