Head of Operations, Epidemic diseases Research Group Oxford (ERGO), University of Oxford

Until recently I was a microbiology researcher. As a post doctoral scientist I have worked in microbiology research, diagnosis and human susceptibility studies. I am interested in Tropical infectious diseases and I was based in South East Asia (Laos and Cambodia) for six years where I built the diagnostic and research capacity of hospital based microbiology laboratories while integrating new molecular techniques and building BSL3 facilities in Laos which conformed to UK Standards.

I moved to my current position after completing an MBA, the job combines my interest in science, microbiology and epidemic research together with operational support at a fast moving pace underpinning the groups aims to provide quality care to patients enrolled in our worldwide clinical trials.
