Catriona McLean is Head of Anatomical Pathology at Alfred Health with Professorial appointments at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, Monash University and The University of Melbourne. Catriona has over 25 years’ experience in pathology and is also; diagnostic neuropathologist for the Victorian Brain Bank, honorary neuropathologist at Royal Children’s Hospital, Director of the Victorian Neuromuscular Service (also servicing Tasmania) and pathologist for the State Melanoma Service (Alfred Health), the National CJD Registry (also servicing New Zealand) (Florey Neurosciences) and Australian Phenomics Network (The Melbourne University). Catriona has also been Director of the Australian Brain Bank Network (ABBN) from 2003 to 2014. She has developed multiple pathology curricula for undergraduate and post-graduate medicine. Her qualifications include BSc, MBBs, FRCPA, MD, FFSc (RCPA), FAHMS. She has published over 300 scientific papers.
