Visiting Fellow in Law, University of Westminster

After a lifetime career in academic and clinical support services in UK university medical schools, medical postgraduate institutes and NHS hospitals (1960 - 2000), I obtained an LLM in Dispute Prevention and Resolution at the University of Westminster in 2001.

My dissertation concerned prevention and resolution of disputes through risk reduction in medical settings. Subsequently, I was invited to read for a PhD degree and chose to study resources for mediating the incommensurability of science and law in legal contexts, centring on expert opinion witness evidence and introducing systems theory to explain phenomena.
