I am a lecturer in psychology and Clinical Psychologist working in mental health and brain injury.
I am especially interested in mental health awareness - how people understand and recognise changes in their mental health and wellbeing. Also, the experience of trauma and post-traumatic growth, as well as rehabilitation after brain injury.
I lecture in psychology at the University of Aberdeen and continue to practice as a Clinical Psychologist via my honorary contract with the Department of Neuropsychology, NHS Grampian and in private practice.
I completed a PhD in Neuropsychology at the University of Aberdeen exploring residual visual after acquired brain injury. After working on a BBSRC-funded post-doctoral research project exploring pointing and eye movements in visual field defects, I then completed a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh.
