Changkun Hou is a PhD student in the department of political science, National Taiwan University. His research interests lie primarily in the area of international strategy and strategic deception, international relations in ancient and contemporary China, and methodology, including social network analysis, big data text analysis, space analysis, political experiment and evolutionary game theory.

Prior to joining NTU with a Master's degree, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where he is also an Assistant Researcher in the International Studies Centre, focusing on national defence security. He also has access to the Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies in Tamkang University and the Department of International Relations in Tsinghua University, Beijing as exchange student and visiting student, respectively.
