Charmele is Teaching Fellow in the Faculty of Economics and Finance at Durham University. Charmele's current research looks at how increased screen use during the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting university student's wellbeing and concentration levels along with the implication for learning.
After completing Masters in Finance, Charmele entered the world of Stockbroking. Charmele was a Business Development Associate. Charmele was a lecturer in Curtin University Malaysia before moving to the University of Salford to complete her PhD in Banking and Finance. Her main interests are in Student Learning and Wellbeing, Bank Soundness, Global Financial Crises, Global Financial Stability, Digital Banking and Sustainability Banking.
