Dr Cherie Hugo has been consulting with her team of dietitians to aged care homes for nearly 2 decades and in 2013 founded The Lantern Project, a national aged care collaboration devoted to improving resident’s quality of life through the joy of good food. The Lantern Project is a Social Enterprise organisation supporting Australian aged care stakeholders through action-based research, topical monthly meetings and training opportunities to help raise the bar on the aged care food and mealtime experience.
