Cheyanne Desnomie

Associate Director, Indigenous Peoples' Health Research Centre and Sessional Instructor, Department of Anthropology, University of Regina

Cheyanne Desnomie is a Plains Cree woman from Peepeekisis Cree Nation in the Treaty 4 territory of southern Saskatchewan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Anthropology, and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Regina (U of R). She is currently Associate Director with the Indigenous Peoples' Health Research Centre and is also a sessional instructor for the Department of Anthropology at the University of Regina. Cheyanne’s research background focuses on oral history, social memory, identity, and the lasting influence of colonial policies on Indigenous people.
