Chris is an aeronautical engineer with expertise in aircraft structures, flight test, accident investigation and energy harvesting. He has worked in the field of energy harvesting for the last 5 years.
Chris is the head of the energy harvesting team in the CSIRO Energy Technology division. His focus is on the generation and storage of energy from waste sources, such as heat, wind, vibration or fluid flow. This energy is used to allow remote sensors and mobile electronic devices to be powered. He has undertaken studies into the use of sensible and latent heat storage of solar generated thermal energy and the mechanics and practicalities of ocean renewable energy.
