Chris Patel

Chris Patel’s research program adopts a multi-disciplinary approach to provide theoretical, methodological and empirical evidence on various aspects of accounting and corporate governance across countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, China, India, Malaysia and Japan. He has published extensively in professional and scholarly refereed journals including publications in leading international journals such European Accounting Review, British Accounting Review, Journal of International Accounting Research, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal and Critical Perspectives on Accounting. He has also published six four research monographs with Elsevier JAI and Emerald Publishing including two on international accounting issues in Germany. Chris is on the editorial of scholarly journals and he was an Associate Editor of Journal of International Accounting Research. He was also a member of Outstanding Dissertation Award Committee of the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association. He was also appointed by the Norwegian Government to the Research Council of Norway responsible for assessing the quality of research grant applications. He has extensive university teaching experience and has acted as an adviser to Asian Development Bank, World Bank and World Heath Organization.
