Christopher Byrne is a Lecturer in Politics at Leeds Beckett University.
He researches British government and contemporary political theory. He is author of Neoliberalisms in British Politics, a study of the influence of neoliberal political thought on the structure and policy outputs of British government in the post-Thatcher period. He has also published on aspects of the UK Parliament, including the efficacy of PMQs as a means of democratic accountability and the political afterlives of MPs.
He also researches aspects of higher education pedagogy, including how to make higher education more dyslexia-friendly.
