Christopher Jack

I come from a background of computer science, oceanography and climatology and am currently employed to run the high end computing for the group. This involves building, managing and debugging (emphasis on debugging!) a few computational clusters. I am also largely responsible for doing long term climate simulations using the MM5 regional model running on the clusters.

Besides that, I am trying to develop an understanding of southern African regional moisture transport and recycling.

But my real passion is mountain biking, mountain running, hiking, camping and kite flying with a bit of skiing thrown in when I can.
