Christopher Miller

Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science, University of Richmond

Chris Miller teaches courses in American politics and public policy, constitutional law, and environmental policy. Before joining the University of Richmond in 2020, he spent several years working in Chicago’s nonprofit sector focusing on election oversight, youth organizing, and civil liberties advocacy work, then earned his Ph.D. at Indiana University’s O’Neill School (SPEA) focusing on climate change policy. His current research interests include national and subnational environmental policy, the intersections of ideological polarization and economic inequality, and the influence of media literacy on public opinion.
