Ciara Fitzpatrick

PhD Candidate and Research and Policy Officer at Law Centre NI, Ulster University

Ciara recently passed her PhD viva. Her thesis is entitled "Poor Citizens: Social Security Law and the Unemployed 1974 - 2012" and it provides an extensive analysis of how political ideology, and political rhetoric often espoused in the House of Commons, has shaped the development of social security legislation (primary and secondary).

Ciara currently works as a research and policy officer at Law Centre NI, where she works to promote access to justice.
