Colin John Lynam

volunteer seismologist, The University of Queensland

I have spent 40 years at The University of Queensland Seismograph Stations facility, as a technician and Seismologist Observer and Senior Technical Officer. .I am a joint author on 11 published scientific papers on Queensland,s earthquake activity. I have a postgraduate Diploma from QUT (2004) in Not-for-profit and Philanthropy studies.

I was a volunteer seismologist and Hon. Research Fellow in The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences until 2018. I am finalizing the archiving of 80 years of scientific records into the State Archives, to save them from destruction. I am interested in researching the process of preserving unique scientific data from the pre-digital era.
