Colin Leys is an Emeritus Professor of Political Studies at Queen’s University, Canada, and a Research Professor at Goldsmiths, University of London.

His work has been mainly in the field of political economy. He has written or co-written 12 books and edited or co-edited 22. His most recent books are Market-Driven Politics: neoliberal democracy and the public interest (Verso 2001), and
The Plot Against the NHS (with Stewart Player, Merlin 2011).

He is on the management team of the Centre for Health and the Public Interest, which aims to disseminate an evidence-based view of health and social care policy in the UK in keeping with the founding principles of the NHS.
