I am a scientist in evolutionary ecology working on plant-insect interactions, including pollination and pest biocontrol. I combine labortory, greenhouse and field-scale studies to understand processes behind those interactions, and how they shape community dynamics.
In my current project funded by AXA Research Fund, I seek to understand how climate change (mainly drier conditions) affect floral resource productions and floral attractive traits to pollinator such as scent. This alteration of floral traits affects pollinator visits, and thus pollination function: plants may receive less visits, or visits by less efficient pollinators for instance, leading to the production of fewer seeds.
