Prof Colleen Fisher has a PhD in sociology and is currently a teaching and research academic in the School of Population Health at the University of Western Australia. Her teaching portfolio encompasses units at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and includes Health Promotion, Public Health Practicum, Health and Illnes in Human Populations, Global Health and Health Research Design and Methods. Prof Fisher's key research interests include psychosocial aspects of women's health including reproductive health and postnatal depression, living with life limiting illnesses, mental health and palliative care. Her main research focus is family and domestic violence where her research has been cross-cultural, across the lifespan, and related to policy and practice.. She has published widely on her research interests and has been invited to present at national and international conferences.. Addtionally Prof Fisher has supervised numerous PhD, Masters and Honours students to thesis completion.
