Connie Henson

Dr Connie Henson is a Senior Research Fellow for the Djurali Centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research and Education at the Heart Research Institute. Connie collaborates with Indigenous colleagues to explore how older Indigenous people use digital health technologies to improve health and wellbeing. Current projects include using wearable devices (watches and patches) to detect and monitor heart health, including early atrial fibrillation (AF) detection. Connie’s research also includes co-designing wearable-based exercise programs with older women to reduce risk factors and prevent the progression of chronic disease.
