Professor Craig Batty is Dean of Research (Creative) at the University of South Australia.

Craig's areas of expertise are screenwriting, creative practice research and doctoral supervision. He is author and editor of 15 books on screenwriting, media writing, screen production and creative doctorates. He has also written extensively for peer-reviewed journals and edited collections, as well as industry articles, interviews and book reviews. Craig is also a script editor, script consultant and occasional screenwriter, having worked on short film, feature film, television and online drama projects. He speaks and delivers creative workshops regularly at conferences, festivals, and industry and community events.
