Dagmar Paulus

I'm Lecturer and Language Coordinator in German Studies at University College London. My research interest is primarily nationalism and its history, from about 1800 to 1945. My first monograph analyses narratives of nationalism in literature and historiography in German Realism. In 2020, I published an edited volume with the title Nationalism before the Nation State with my colleague Ellen Pilsworth. Currently, I'm working on a monograph on nationalism and landscape.
