Postdoctoral Research Fellow, The University of Queensland

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Instituted for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Queensland.

I am interested in exploring big questions about the history of science and religion (and especially their intersection) through studying materials in obscure and relatively unknown archives related to German and British colonies in the South Pacific. I am currently looking at how and why British administrators sought to regulate ‘witchcraft’ in their South Pacific colonies in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
