Reader in Modern European Philosophy, Royal Holloway University of London

Daniel has taught philosophy at the University of Liverpool and Royal Holloway, University of London. He researches on eighteenth- and nineteenth-century ideas particularly in French and German contexts. He has written books on German Idealism, philosophy of nature and also the contemporary legacy of these discourses in current debates over religious symbols. He is the editor of the Edinburgh Critical History of Nineteenth-Century Theology and the co-editor of the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of Modern French Philosophy.
