Darcy is an early career threatened species ecologist specialising in terrestrial and arboreal mammal reserarch and conservation. He recently completed his PhD at Deakin University, where he studied the value of both natural and artificial refuges for conserving threatened mammals in fire-prone landscapes. He is currently a Threatened Species Biologist in the Wildlife Conservation & Science Department at Zoos Victoria, and a Visiting Scholar in the School of Life & Environmental Science at Deakin University.
