My research looks at multisensory perception and the effect of visual impairment on cognition. Primarily we use visual-to-auditory sensory subtituiton devices such as The vOICe to not only give us a better understanding of how the brain processes multisensory information but to aid in the development of technology for visual restoration/ rehabilitation.
Other research interests focus on cross-modal correspondences and how input in one sensory modality effects perception in other modalities.
