David R. Anderson is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change at York University (Toronto, Canada). His Canada Graduate Scholarship-funded research argues for the ecologically and disability-centered (i.e., "eco-crip") political possibilities of non-normative sense-making practices through the close reading and creative writing of blind and ecological memoirs. David’s research engages critical disability and blindness studies, the environmental humanities, queer and feminist theories, and critical race and whiteness studies. His most recent work has been published in Feminist Formations, Disability Studies Quarterly, and The Goose: A Journal of Arts, Environment, and Culture in Canada. He is legally blind.
